Anyone got a source? I recall the 88.00 from Bloomberg but can't find the article now. I only saw it on their mobile feed though.

I am in now but looking to get in more on dips if we see some.

“We are way long from what I consider a neutral territory” of about 100 yen to the dollar, the Brazilian-born president of Japan’s second-largest carmaker said during a year-end briefing at Nissan’s headquarters in Yokohama, Japan.
“Please bring it back to the neutral territory so that we can do our job without a handicap.”

I do believe the USD/JPY will retrace to the 85.25 - 85.40 level, but I do not believe it will start until after the U.S. reports, possibly after the FOMC meeting minutes at 1900 GMT.

I took December off, and will get back into the market next week. I have just been watching the market move the last several weeks.

I mean strengthen the YEN, but we will see if they find friends there.

I'm looking for a pullback as well on this pair but they can seem to bring it down. It's amazing how hard all the other yen crosses pulled in & this one is barely of 12 pips. Dejavu of a couple of weeks ago before it started ripping to the upside.
It works till it doesn't

Yeah it seems to be the way dollar yen moves once it starts in consolidates sideways with very little downside then carries on anyway I did have a go at today's low but I still prefer 85.60 area

The previous big usd/jpy move was when the US. 10 year rate increased from 1.9 to 2.5 and when it started to slide down then the usd/jpy moved back from 84 to 76.
Yesterday the 10 year note rate broke up from a range (1.56-1.83). I assume the current movement is more dollar based then yen.
What I would like to say with it is that now we have another accelerator beside Shinzo Abe and the BOJ.

Tried to pick a top for this a few times and got burned out of my tight SLs. Don't think we'll see any major resistance until 90. USDJPY's like a fire right now, can't put it out cause I don't have enough water, but I'll feed it with more wood if it gets a little weaker.

I agree that this strong up trend will possibly retrace before it gets to the 95.00 to 100.00 range. I would not try to pick tops. I am going to start trading again starting Monday, and I am going to look for dips to buy into this up trend.
