I found this graphic on the shadowtrader newsletter and it helps put the fiscal cliff in a different light. US debt is astronomical! The authors tried to show the us debt situation like household debt.

This pair is overbought on the daily chart so care must be taken. However I believe we dollar bulls will get our day in 2013. Not straightaway imho but its going to happen...

We seem to have a retracement on our hands. Both trades closed

I am immediately bearish in gold and then looking for a position trade upwards. This view imho is invalidated of we take out 1550 to the downside. So I will be looking for signs of a good bottom. My eyes will really be open from 1610 looking for a solid bottom

Went to check out the continuous chart on tfc-charts.com. Way over extended. Once line is broken it is a sell. And we all know what happens when an overextended bubble signals a sell ---> everyone runs for the door
