We're all guilty of this. The main thing is that you read the market.

I made the mistake of not trusting my higher time frame analysis and taking 16 measly pips out of a 70 odd pip drop. I mean I have this daily chart displayed at all time.. This move was pretty damn obvious.
yeh it is these sorts of mistakes that really sabotage my progress. glad to know i'm on the right path tho. hopefully the path that leads to something like ken's last euro post on Ace

It probably takes a few years to get to Ken's level. It's all about screen time, a good memory and getting taught harsh lessons every day.

This business is all about rinse and repeat once you've nailed it.

Ken's strength is his ability to let his trades run but no doubt he's getting stopped out regularly. His exits give a lot of clues since he seems to take every single level on his day trading charts.

When I say memory, I mean the market is extremely repetitive. You want to know why this level didn't hold price?.... You've probably seen it before and again and again. I get deja vu so often.

Take look at this chart from November last year. An M30 chart of AUDUSD.

Now look at this M30 chart of today's GBPUSD...

The markets do the same thing over and over.

Thank you for these posts C-12

Ive also made quite a few mistakes the last couple of days, which thankfully didnt cost me a lot but I didnt gain much bc of these kind of mistakes.

Its as simple as it is with these two posts of AUDUSD and GBPUSD... NEVER take the first demand level right away if there are big zones underneath it...

It happens so many times, and I would definetily say it happens way more times than a turning point at the first, especially for the bigger zones on M30 and higher...

Sure these levels CAN be profitable for scalping but most of the time price shoots through it and leaves you stopped out.

It is simply magic to me to read Kens blog and see how he has traded the day... it is really inspiring... because how often do we end the day with missed opportunities, or things we ignored because we struggled with ourselves...

I guess in hindsight there wasn't much quality in here to stop this freefall.

Well after 350 pip vertical drop and retracing 61.8% of a 2 month rally in 2 days.. I reckon we're due a solid bounce in the pound.

I've been building a semi swing long position this morning, sat in a little draw down so guess we'll see what NFP brings today.

This one is funding my GBP long.

Was only a 6 pip scalp position originally.

Absolutely. As well, the US Dollar index is entering a daily supply zone (2 actually). There is still room for it to go up a little, but it's in the zone to begin looking for shorts.

EURUSD entered a Weekly demand zone.

I'm not comfortable with the 120 pip stop that it needs, but I say it can do a healthy bounce (given USD index and cable setups).

Will scan other EUR pairs to see which ones could offer a better risk-reward ratio...

Would never entertain a 120 pip stop but this could produce something right here, very low risk.

No reason why today wouldn't have been profitable on the M1... And I wasn't even watching.

Theres 16 pips between these ranges here.. And only 3 pip stops were needed.
