THV System Trades & Patterns Thread

I promise i will never ever use SL to Be. I knew it will go like this,
but noo, being only 30 pips in plus have to secure the trade with sl to be. Of course..

2 times triggered and then missed to go short again...

I would say yes,

EUR / NZD D1

But also.. Here a D1 short that could bring 100 pips or so.

Usually i would join the gamble, but new year and new trading resolution.
Better a missed trade than a Fail trade. Thats the easy key to success with THV.
Keep your loss trades small, the 70-80 % Thv accuracy does the rest.

I really dont like correlation.

EUR/GBP D1

At this chart pic i would say long, but i also said short at EUR/NZD D1

Also notice 0.8100

Absolute D1 correlation.

If you trade multiple Pairs in H4 or D1, you have to have a very close look about it.
Eur/Gbp Eur/Nzd was a easy example.

But there are crosses or complete different Pairs that you never though about.

Entering correlated pairs, drives up only the risk of fail.

Plus, the correlation changes from time to time.
If a Pair had 80 % correlation last 6 months

it can easy change to correlation 20 % next month and continue this way.

Just got back from 2 awesome week of snowboarding in the Swiss Alpes. Today had its up and downs and it was my first day of trading in 2013. So far so good, up a bit over 110 pips going long EURUSD and short USDCHF. On the downside, I had to pull 2 wisdom teeth today and I look like a hamster...tried to chat up the cute receptionist at my dentist, but my tongue wouldn't oblige.

Anyway:

Went long EURUSD because the majority of the candle body broke through the Coral, and the Trix broke through the 0.00000 line. It also had enough room towards the 1.3100 level and price didn't seem to manage a breakthrough below 1.30000.

The opposite is true for USDCHF, no surprise there. Quite a few alternative trade opportunities today, but I was so drugged up with painkillers I was happy with my 2 trades

Slow day it seems...bit of retracement for EURUSD and USDCHF...but I doubt it's going to surpass the Corals by a ton...too late to enter for my liking.

I'm short EURUSD because it seems like the EUR is getting under a bit of pressure on the H1 charts. Price is below the coral, below the moving average, both Trix are red, it broke through the H1 support level, and Damiani tells me to trade...we'll see where it goes.

On a side note, as of today I'm managing some of my dad's funds...which funny enough puts a bit of additional psychological pressure on me. At the same time it will probably prevent me from spazzing out too much because I don't want him to kill me

The thing I need to get used to is the lot size I now trade...it's slightly scary and a 10pip move is now suddenly "a lot" of money because my overall balance is a lot larger. Will take a bit to get used to. I need to think in % terms, not $ amounts to overcome this...

EDIT: Got stopped out...oh well.

I opened a Alpari Account last week, where i will trade only H4. Scalping will remain at Dukascopy.

Yesterday.. Sad i took only 0.05 Lot, but wanted to start comfortable. My first trade..
