Does anyone have a system that delivers more than 50 Pips per day? Time of day does not matter?

Great 1st post

You may find something here if you read all 1000's of threads here which are all related about making some pips per day ...

Not 50 but close enough. Yes.

The system:

System 1:

Step 1: Buy at low of the day or session
Step 2: Sell at high of the day or session

System 2:

Step 1: Sell at high of the day or session
Step 2: Buy at low of the day or session

Greetings guys,

I just came across this system and it seems to be a good to try one.

I did not manage to read all of the 1400+ messages and for that, I wish to ask for your help with two things:

1. Can someone make a synthesis of the latest version of the strategy, also adding the latest scripts and make it a "sticky" at the start of the topic ?

2. Help straighten up the following:

Issue1. Define a swing high/low more exact
What I understood: a formation of five bars, with the middle bar having the highest value/lowest value. The two bars before and after have lower highs/higher lows
Q: Do we take into consideration just the highs/lows of the entire bar formation or are the CLOSE values taken into consideration ?
Details: swing high example.jpg

Issue2. What do you mean exactly by "EMAs heading down/up and spacing apart" ?
Are there some exact values ?
Eg: at least 5 pips apart between 3EMA and 15 EMA; 3EMA<5EMA<15EMA, all on 15M charts
Details: EMAs spacing apart.jpg

Best regards,

Alex

Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to FOREX,. Over the past year I've been getting familiar on demo accounts and working on reading price action for market direction and setups. I'm a huge fan of automating as much as I can to keep my trading as objective as I can.

To keep this short...I setup this method in an EA while trying to keep to Cubbybgood's rules from his first post. I'm a little foggy on the highest/high lowest/low determination as it compares to using fractals.

1) Have fractals been determined to be accurate as far as Cubbybgood's intentions for spotting swings?

2) Also, are some of you still trading this system successfully without modifying it?

I've attempted to backtest with the MT4 strategy tester but have been getting odd results with the tester closing out some of my positions far in advance of reaching my SL. Because of this the strategy tester seems most useful to me as a basic proof of concept and initial dry run of my code. So I've moved to testing and evaluating in a demo account at this point.

In any case, backtester should be used only to test a coding. I mean to see if the coding respect the rules.

Profitability results are accurate only on Live feed.

Yes
Follow exactly as posted except exit on CCI 12. Go back in if CCI 12 goes back over or under ZL but only at 30% not a new trade. I now use ema 3, 4, 5, 6, and 13, 14. For what it is worth CCi 12 is very close to a ema 3-4/5-6 cross and CCI 24 ZL is close to a 3-4/5-6/13-14 cross. Trade only on London/NY overlap -5 minute chart and don't leave computer during the 4 hours...keep on it-evaluate every candle. Trade E/U with a broker that has 1.0 to 1.2 spread. Stay out if it goes beyond that such as news.
Dear Lucky Dog,

Which pairs do you trade? Do you trade any time frames apart from 5 min?

Hi all,

First off great thread and great strategy. Like a lot of observers on here I have been scrutinizing and backtesting carefully whilst keeping strictly to the rules Cubby laid down at the beginning of this thread.

On observation I have a couple of questions which the more eagle eyed amongst you may help with. Forgive me if this has already been vented:

It has already been suggested to exit a trade immediately the 3EMA retraces the 13EMA, rather than wait for the S.L. to be hit. Wise advice. However, on backtesting one could argue that this could potentially exit an otherwise profitable trade undergoing a temporary pullback. Of course, the converse is also true, and exiting earlier this way saves pips.

My question is: Does anyone have an effective way of filtering out such crossovers; avoiding exiting an otherwise profitable trade early or making the correct decision to close a failing trade?
