Hi Coders

Does anyone know of or have a generic script to share that the user only inputs the indicator name and buffers to return the values on the chart?
Is this even possible?

I know how to return the values from within an EA, but reckon a lot of time can be saved if a script is available.

I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks
George

Why not simply use the Data Window ?

Unless you are happy using the Indicators default values for it's extern variables a generic script wouldn't work and even if you were happy to use the default extern values the values returned from the buffers may not be a good match to the auto scaled Y axis.

Thanks for the reply.

The main reason i asked is to easier identify the correct buffers for the iCustom.

Yeah, you are right lol.

My problem is then most probably my use of the extern variables....

Probably, it is a common problem, you either need to use the default extern values held within the Indicator and use none of them in the iCustom() call or use ALL of them in the iCustom() call . . .

There is good info here: Detailed explanation of iCustom - MQL4 forum

RaptorUK, You have been a tremendous help... Thank You.

I have coded a dozen or more EA's using iCustom, but have never before had this problem.(Lucky i guess)

I don't know how i missed the link that you provided, i reckon i read just about every other one at MQL4.

This particular EA was working totally erratically that had me scratching my head for a good while.
