He's getting way ahead of himself imo.....he got booted out of office before, and Japan hasn't had a stable govt for quite some time now......and he wants, no, expects and demands inflation to be at 2%.....lol......number of time it has been there in the past 20 years you can count on one hand!!

Ollie I did some backtesting in the 4hr genesys and if you scroll to aug 1st to sept 30 the results arent so good.

Only one trade again this week, Long from 1.2964 and currently with a 'Best' of +204.
Last trade showed a 'best' of +339 pips, the highest total so far (work on "along the way TPs" is definately needed now, hopefully I'll find time over the Xmas period - best wishes to all, by the way).
One new trade this week: I'll take the data on that one with a pinch of salt due to the current low liquidity environment.

Bear in mind that:
.my charts & data are based on the 5PM EST (NY) = UK 22.00 being the end/start of each day, and different brokers around the world will show different stats to mine because they will have different starts/ends to each H4 candles. For anyone of you out there, I'd like to hear from anyone who has different (better or worse) results from the H4 strategy because they are not in the same time zone as me (don't be shy).
.it's up to anyone if they want to only trade ETT or look at all the signals: I provided all the signals because a H4 strategy is a high TF strategy and should be less sensitive to signals being generated during any 'quiet' periods (Asian + late US session).
.another way to look at the DrawDown is to try to be clever about it and actually enter when the stats suggest that we are near the maximum DD once a full signal has been generated. The danger is that you wait for too good an entry and ends up missing on the trade (as usual, no free lunch in trading....)

Please just post all your stats for that period in a similar format to mine if you can so that I can have a look (no point me re-doing the work that you have just done). Markets move all the time and EU's behaviour will change as the weeks pass by and given the choice I will give more validity to the current/recent data rather than older data. Also, remember that the original post was really about how to collect data and devise a possible strategy: traders with different risk appetites will view the same data in a completely different way so I'm always interested in how anyone else would trade it (again, no need to be shy, we're all friends in here)

What indicators are needed?
What settings should be put to the available indicators?
Maybe someone has a template for TF D1 (Daily Chart) for Genesis Matrix Trading?

I have done some H4 testing on EJ taking every trade and results are good but I will be interested in how to TP as just setting max pips is very optimistic. I will add more later as am preparing stomach for upload and scanning future for napping position and upgrading windows to "open" for cool draughts on our lovely Xmas day!

Everything you need is in the first 2 posts in this thread, including the basic indicators, the extra indicators from Xaphod and some PDFs about the Genesis strategy. It doesn't matter if it's D1 or M5, the indicators and their settings are the same.

Hi James,
For all the trades, start collecting the "along the way TPs" in stat/excel format and all being well you should start to see some of the numbers 'group' together; use these number areas as TPs or devise an exit strategy around them. See this example for GY (this sort of extra work is needed for most Yen/Sterling/more volatile pairs).

Also, when using the FXI Pivots, in the 'input' tab, set the 'maxWeeks' number to at least 8 or 12 so that you can still have all your pivots showing on the charts 2 or 3 months later/earlier for additional TPs work (there might be a decent strategy around these - which would make sense considering that they are a core part of Genesis, so the TF should not matter).
