Why are you worried? There are only 2 outcomes; the trade will win, or the trade will lose. If your money management is in control it's just a trade; and you shouldn't need to be sitting watching the trades (that's the EA's job). We know this system has an "edge" in the long run, so if the trade wins you can take it as evidence that you're trading in line with the system. If it loses, no worries, your edge simply tells you that over time your account balance will achieve a positive outcome.

Hi,

When in profit, how many pips do you wait for BE and how much pips in profit is added to the breakeven. Please update this information too in the first post.

Thanks and regards

Hi,

I have modified the Bliss EA code so that it is easily understood to some extend, so others can work on it and if someone looks inside it, will be able to understand. I have not modified the functionality or logic of the EA, except for macd exit strategy to be as per when the current price crosses the zero line, the order is closed. Please try in demo and let me know of your comments.

Thanks

Great, thanks. I presume this is to fix the erroneus bug: the order will be closed at the END of the bar instead of the moment the MACD crosses the Zero line? Lets test it & report back

Hi Sspremj,
Running the Bliss EA v.0.4.2 in a test revealed many problems. it was opening an order with every tick, again, its in direct contrast with the rules of the system. kindly have a look at it again. it promises to be a good EA. Thanks

I like the simplicity of this system, it seems promising. I'll help test it.

One thing the EA is doing terribly wrong is ignoring this rule:

Trade first Hienken Ashi signal only after the trend change on the xpma. If the Hienken Ashi is already in trend when the xpma changes direction do not trade. Wait for the first signal on Hienken Ashi after xpma trend change!

In the screenshot, the price was well into a trend before it took the trade.

Surely the new EA should have taken this : - EA's are off at the moment as outside proposed trade hours. OOps no, sorry. the entry was also outside trading time. Maybe I will run this 24/7 then would not miss these.

hi all
brilliant thread in my opinion
just loaded the templates and ready to do some testing
one question before i begin
do people know how to hide the normal candlesticks and only leave the HA candles?
i find overlaying the HA candles over normal candlesticks is too cluttered, is there an option apart from using pinbar or line chart?
cheers

EDIT: Figured out how to hide it. I just changed line colour of price to white and displayed the line instead of the candlestick. Sufficient enough for me.

Someone mind quickly telling me how these Heiken Ashis generate the signal? Is it when the candle closes above a hidden MA based on the heikin ashi? Period?

Thanks

Here's another example of what I was talking about the EA taking the entry too late when the price has already moved considerably. I don't know why it took the 4th and not the 1st Heikin Ashi sell signal (which would have been an excellent trade)

I think a higher time frame ADX would be a good filter for this system.

For buy:
ADX > 20
DI+ > 20
DI+ sloping up

For sell:
ADX > 20
DI- > 20
DI- sloping up

Here's an example, 2 bad entries on the left that would have been filtered and 2 good entries on the right that passed through the filter.

MTF ADX attached

Happy testing.

It would be great if somebody coded up (or post if exists) a better version of the MarketHours indicator:

The current version is not very accurate. I've labeled the Sydney open, Tokyo open, London open, and New York open with vertical lines, respectively.

As you can see, the indicator in its current state is inconsistent. If I set ServerGMT to -3 (which is actually wrong because my broker offset is GMT-5) it PARTIALLY matches my labels (London open lines up, but New York and Tokyo do not).

If someone can make these fixes it would be great. While there, might as well add the Sydney market hours to really give the whole picture like the Forex Factory Sessions widget.

Here's one I like to use. You can set the line width smaller as well.
