Hi LG, No action for a while think i'll post some charts.
Are you considering taking this trade?
Weekly and daily are in agreement and 4h looks like it might be turning up on a daily 123.

Hello 555ngone and welcome. Although the weekly and daily are in buy mode, I would wait because the daily macd is showing weakness at the moment. The 4H macd is in sell mode and the 4H 21 sma is pointing down. I expect price to fall toward the 50% fib and the daily trend line. If price reaches these areas, then I would wait to see if the uptrend resumes from there. But for now, I'm on the sidelines with this pair.

Hi, LGTJ. I read this thread over the last few days and I really like its simplicity. (Hope you are still monitoring and posting to it!) I am going to start back testing next. I have also read your thread on the Weekly Trend system, and done some back testing, which was very successful so far.

My question is this: Do you still trade the Weekly method, even while you are posting and trading this method? Or did you drop the old method in favor of 1-2-3? Basically, do you trade multiple methods simultaneously? Trading one method while testing others is obviously important. But I would think that actually trading multiple methods could get confusing and/or conflicting.

I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on this.

Thank you for the work you are sharing in these forums! This is the nearest thing to having a personal mentor. God bless you!

Hello AlienFrog and welcome. No, I don't trade with the weekly trend trading method anymore. However, I do trade two other daily methods along with this one. For example, this method is not effective at the moment because the market is changing. But my other two methods are very effective. It's not confusing or conflicting to use several methods as long as you recognize what price action is showing you.

That makes sense. I was thinking of comparing two methods as a further means of confirmation before entering a trade, but that is really the same as recognizing price action.

May I ask what are your other daily methods? Do you write about them on FF?

Thanks!

One method is based on divergence and the other is based on a 21ema channel. I have not introduced these methods yet because I'm still forward testing these methods "live". I'll introduce these methods at a later time.

Anyone still trading this method? I am backtesting it and forward testing it currently and it looks good. But I am unsure I am getting the steps in the right order.

So am I

My concern is that I see the buy on Weekly so I go to Daily and draw fib on recent lowest low to recent high and wait for retrace to finish around 50% line. Problem is that by the time the 50% is bounced off, the Weekly is now in Sell so does that make the whole setup cancelled?

Which pair? Post a chart of the weekly and daily charts. Maybe I can help.
