I downloaded their demo according to the link they gave me upon demo registration and real account opening:
http://www.armadamarkets.com/wp-cont...imeXMsetup.exe

It is absolutely free of any plug-ins.

E2u, if you have something to say, if you have some facts, then post them here, share it with everybody. Otherwise, don't make things up and waste everybody's time here. I thought initially that you have at least something to say.

Thanks.

Some thoughts. The broker shown in the statement is not Armada Markets. It is Prime Exchange Markets. Which is a broker I've never come across with.

Actually as per this website: http://www.primexm.com/contact.html , PrimeXM Prime Exchange Markets is the liquidity bridge provider.

The second point. Are you sure you followed the demo account instructions upon demo registration and actually logged in to the actual Armada Markets demo account? There has been some confusion in the forum with people not following the specific instructions and thus ending up not with actual demo but a generic demo that doesn't correspond to Armada's trading conditions.

Let's figure this out, as there is a growing number of Armada clients (me as well since Saturday) on FF who are probably also interested in this. Discussion always leads to truth.

Indeed I was wrong. Referring to their api: 'the time in force policy for the market order. This can be "Fill or Kill" or "Immediate or Cancel".'
So, yes it may be fok or ioc Usually one would use ioc.
The difference in Fill or Kill and Immediate or Cancel is in partial fills. Both should execute near immediately - Fill or Kill will execute the whole amount or none, immediate or cancel can execute in any amount from zero to the full amount.

With MT4 market orders you can slip, or be requoted - unless the broker supports limit orders when you can fail to execute some or all of the amount (I have never tested limit orders on MT4 so i don't know the exact details)

Hmmm.... I have been using them and I see no problem whatsoever. What I like is I can check their feed against LMAX feed to see if there are any discrepancies which I have yet to see.

I was going to go with LMAX directly but I like that I can open an account with Armada with MT4 and a low equity balance to try them out and still get LMAX spreads...

I will be using 4xsentinel to watch my real account just to make sure but I find it highly unlikely they would manipulate the feed as it is easily checked...

Just my 2 cents

There's no need for baseless accusations.
Just in case anyone is interested in evidence instead of hearsay, my profile is currently displaying the results of a live trading comparison between an Alpari MT4 SB account and an Armada MT4/PrimeXM/LMAX account, amongst other things.

Cheers,

Jim

Hi Jim. Thanks for posting that. What is your interpretation of that data?

I am new to Forex Brokers and the games being played, have learnt tons but not sure what to make of it, other than your Alpha account might be incurring slippage? Please correct me if I am wrong and point out anything else pertinent.

Thanks and cheers

Hi JJ,

Hi Jim. Thanks for posting that. What is your interpretation of that data?
Actually I was rather hoping to hear other people's interpretations, particularly from those who proclaim the benefits or otherwise of NDD, STP, DMA, MTF, VDP and any number of other TLAs. In particular, I was wondering how 4xsentinel comes to its conclusions.

In summary, the strategy in question doesn't use any market orders, and compares live with demo results, as well as variable spread no commission with fixed spread no commission with variable spread plus commission, together with other stuff FF doesn't provide room for. As you say, along with the MTF and the commissions you do seem to get slippage (sometimes positive!), which for some reason seems to be absent from the other accounts.

Cheers,

Jim

I started programming automated trading systems before MetaTrader even existed. As luck would have it I do have some experience with writing so called "expert advisors" also.

Cheers,

Jim
