DoingWell just picked up Subby and they are on their way to one of his favourite breakfast spots.
DoingWell: Before we drive off, I think I want to put the top down. It is such a beautiful day.
Subby: I love the sunshine. It is so invigorating.
DoingWell: I do too. Ahh...that's better. Now off we go.
Subby: Looks like the road is very clear this morning.
DoingWell: No problem for me. We'll get there sooner. So, have you heard from your brother lately?
Subby: No, I don't hear from him too often. I did try to keep in touch, but he does not like to respond I guess. There is no bad blood between us really, he just likes to run the show and be everyone's boss.
DoingWell: I can understand people like that. I've met a few in my lifetime. They can be difficult to deal with. Sometimes you just have to make them feel like they are the boss, but you really know better. (turning to wink at Subby)
Subby: Hmm...yeah that might work. It just gets me so upset...why people have to be that way. Anyhow, how have you been?
DoingWell: Been good...great as a matter of fact. Have been very focused on getting some things done...making progress. I just love driving up the coast on a sunny day, and looking at the ocean. It is so refreshing.
Subby: I agree (turning to look at the ocean). I don't think I ever asked you this question, but how did you meet NeverAgain?
DoingWell: (Laugh)...what a story. I had decided to get into golf...was told that it would be good for business, you know...to make connections. I was in the Insurance business at the time. So while at the golf course one day, I overheard some men talking about this guy who was giving them golfing lessons. I thought it might be good to take a few. So, I went to his office. At that time, he was just getting into the world of trading. He was also trying to apply some of his golfing techniques to trading...visualization techniques...and the market was eating him alive. He learned the hard way, but he learned. That's why I know he's good. I was being beaten up too in the market, but I never let on...at least not in the beginning. I was learning as he was venting his frustrations to me. Interestingly enough that is where I met my wife, Confident Thinker, Creative Thinker's older sister. Confident has helped me through so much. Her support has carried me a long way.
Subby: Wow...it's hard to imagine that NeverAgain had a trading battle. He is so clear-cut in his approach.
DoingWell: He's a fighter. Because of him, I am trading well now. Well we're here. Time for breakfast.
DoingWell and Subby make their way to the restaurant. We'll rejoin the conversation once they are seated.
