Dislikedwell something similar, I was more thinking about the indexes available on LiteForex (USDFLX, EURFLX, FLXJPY) - but basically looking at it the same way
in our baskets we are trading the USD & JPY (plus CHF if 14 pair) against everything else
so my idea was to combine the "other" and the usd, jpy, chf to give a similar type picture ie. just 2 lines
then look for a definite coming together (possibly by combining the 2 lines total to then look for a retrace of a fib number - to avoid whipsaw)
the same with the IA, the IA tells you what...Ignored
I do agree that indexes seem interesting and the issue is how to use them to our advantage. In the CICR thread someone posted the Mindex indy, this reproduces the indexes provided by Liteforex so you can use on another broker. I have started to play around with this, though currently the EA i have written is still being optimised and tested. The pic below shows it running, it takes the indy and scales the output to % the checks for strongest and weakest and checks direction. Well that was the idea but it still needs work. i will post it once i am happy, but John if you want a beta copy for testing and improving pm me your email.
Keep up the outstanding effort John and kudos to all that are making suggestions for new ways to make this work.
Mike
