DislikedFXPro IS my broker. Am I imagining things here? Actually, when I see a big gap like this one, I double-check with a DEMO broker before I believe it.

If there was a central market, then there would be one price and it would be a "correct" price, but forex has no central market.
It is a distributed market, made up of thousands of banks and brokers who's computers communicate between themselves through various routes and clusters and somehow arbitrate a price.
It's like a horde of hagglers all hollering at once, and it's amazing that it functions as well as it does.
That communication is NOT instantaneous, and, because of this, there is no "correct price" as such, and you will always get variations, especially when there is fast action during news.
That is also a reason for the spread variation during news... it's not all "broker manipulation", as some think (but brokers can take advantage of that and add to the confusion).
