I myself do not take a trade every time just because it fits the rules. Be conservative and you will typically expose yourself to less risk.
Excellent post TW,

we don't want to overtrade, take only the ones that you absolutely feel good with.

When I had a good trade I'm not looking immediately for another, FX is there always and it is nice to have a coffee or tee (for the Britain guys here), and than looking for a new one.

I have a task that I need to complete during the day, that is 40 pips. When I'm done I'm watching the threads having fun with the guys in the EUR/USD thread and if there is a absolutely perfect setup I might take it as well.
If I have 4 negative trades in raw I also close the trading room, it's simply not my day and there will be many more days.

Here now my THV screen, it includes the actual TF (1M, my favorite) in real candlesticks and an EMA setup that I was working with a year ago and still can’t miss it.

The second screenshot is my workhorse where I draw TL’s HL’s Pithforks etc.

So now you have an idea of my trading room, and you see that all this together is important to see and analyze to feel good in the trades that we take.

That doesn't mean that you need 4 monitors to trade THV, you can setup your MT4 four times and rename the folders, than execute it four times logged in with the same account. But it makes some work to switch between them al the time. May be later (if you don't have them already) you can get some additional monitors to get work more easy.

May be FreddyFX will post a picture of his exelent trading room.

You have a nice country. I spent much of my spring and summer there this year. And I learned about trading from a German!

Here a screenshot of the actual situation, we had a confirmed bull continuation pattern on Friday that was interrupted by that surprising bear move in the last hour or so.
On daily and H4 we have a double button together with a possible H&S formation.

I will stay aside a while until I see a clear trend, may be until NY session anyhow I don’t like to trade on Sundays but a good setup I would take if I’m in the trading room.

Thanks Freddy for the photo, a real example of a good trading room, don't tell nobody that the bear in the background is a monkey, please.

UPDATE: the weekend brought us a 130 pips bear gap and I will probably look for a long setup if confirmed (the price is still hiding with much power to the south), when my broker opens the platform, most weekend gaps get filled (about 80% traders say)

Here the first trade this week, I tried to TP on touch of the S2 but the platform didn’t let me, so I needed to cash only 16 green pips but isn’t bad for starting the week.

Hi Cobra,

I have an ODL demo data feed but it still shows as Friday 14 Nov at 23:45. How do you get the data feed for the weekend?

I’m happy that THV is useful you, even as an additional indicator to your preferred trading system.
Like I mentioned in the first posts it can be used as such.
It avoids catching the falling knife and give confidence to the trade.
Thank you

BTW: Sorry for the delay but Cobra has a rule #1: don’t trade and post

I’m still looking for long entrances to fill the gap, once that 1.2530 is broken and hold I will probably look for shorts. Overall it looks pretty bearish.

I use MT4 only for charts but for considence I use ODL UK and it is open since 2 hours or so

If you want price data during the weekend you might want to visit tenfore.com

Here another nice little trade, I took it because we bounced away after touching S3, if you see the charts on real candles you will notice that it was exactly S3.
TP on cross of Price to agua T3 line.

You may think that 8 pips is nothing but remember that a scalper uses high pip value and my daily target is only 40 pips, with the first trade we assume 24 pips and Monday didn’t even start (in my time), Sunday doesn’t count for me.

Hi Cobraforex. Thanks for sharing your system with us. I had a question on the FerruFx indicator. On your last trade the FerruFX indicator was showing down trend when you took a long. How much does that indicator play a part in your decision on placing trades? Thanks,CJD

On the 1M TF almost none, I only would not trade against it on high percentage.
But is looks pretty fancy doesn't it?

Other than that, the screenshot is made when I was out already.

Damn, I still can't see the candles on 5M chart because of this huge 200+ bear move, they are soooo small.

That's one of the reasons that I don't like to trade on Sunday, that gaps mess up all the chart and indicators.

What about holding the mouse pointer over the price on the right of the chart
and expanding the view?
Recovery (Martingale) ;) trading is for losers.
