DislikedRyanmcd,
Your GBPUSD chart is from GMT+0 MT4, right? Today the first 4 hr TC signal happened at 3am EST in GMT+0 MT4, then at 5am EST in GMT+2, and then at 6am EST in GMT+1. I felt that first TC signal always show up in different time, Maybe 1am, 2am, 3am, 5am, 6am, 7am, 9am, 10am or 11am EST in differnt time zone MT4, so it's good to keep three different time zone MT4 for refrence. You mentioned in post 11350 that you don't like to trade at 2am EST, and will trade your own time zone. I'm curious that what is your time zone you most to trade, and when you start to check 4 hr signal by your experience. I am so nervous to miss the signals, so I always start to check signals form 1am EST in three MT4 platforms. Did I do the good way, or not necessary. Thaks for your advice.

DislikedActually, those pips were possible today. But I got 27....
short the g/u at 1.9565, TP on 1/2 at 20 pips, set rest to BE, then moved stop to 9531 a little b/f the BOE statement. Unfortunately there was a huge hammer up to 9560 or so, took me out. Would have been sweet to ride that bad boy down in the 1.94's. I wonder in Phil (or others) cashed in on some short time frame strategies??Ignored

DislikedWith all posts about sleep, getting up middle of night etc I have coded this alarm a while back and thought some can benefit from it.
It basically allows you to:
1. Select pairs you want alert MACD signal change
2. Select Direction
3. Select 4H or 1H
4. Alerts you 15 minutes before bar is close if MACD has changed colour
5. Email alert
Just modify the ini to point to your metatrader directory. Use the modified MACD indicator or add in the code from the enclosed.
Check Columns:
1 - enable/disable
2 - long (macd goes green from red)
3 - short (macd goes red from green)
4 - checked for 4H / unchecked for 1H
5 - For TC check if MACD not yet change colour
ie if up trend and macd has not given a red bar yet check it so program knows to look for a red bar then sound alarm when green bar forms.
If people use it I will make it more user friendly later.
Hope this help someone sleep better.Ignored
Disliked1) Different pair 2) it was already in a strong down move 3) it paused there for several 1 hour bars and almost came back up to it giving a very clear signal 4) e/u broke trendline support.... etc,etc... If you want to: jump in, my point is the motion is unclear. Trend line is up. Price hasn't closed below 200, MA's are mixed up (8 and 21 above 89)....
It's your money, go for it.... I would like it more for a short if it would retrace up get the MA's in order, then coma back down to close below the 200, then come back to the 200 with another TC signal.... then go short...
(and all the MA's in place)... (i.e. 8 below the 21 and 21 below the 89, that's motion). This pair is iffy....Ignored
