Trade update for December the 8th:
All trades are now closed for today with mixed results. We made a good trade on the GBP before the NonFarm Employment change came in however the CHF retraced before hitting any targets and the JPY managed to hit the second target before retracing.
GBP/USD
1 Trade = (15 + 38) = 53
USD/CHF
1 Trade = (-60) = - 60
USD/JPY
1 Trade = (15 + 6) = 21
Total for the days trading is = 14
Final Trade results for 3 weeks trading:
Week 1 17th - 24th = 379
Week 2 27th - 1st = 310
Week 3 4th - 8th = 334
This will be the last day for trade postings. Anyone who is following this system should now have a grasp on how it works. I will keep working on this strategy on additional filtering.
I have attached an indicator called the Batfink Trend change. This is modeled after the Fisher Jurik. The settings for the indicator are 100 Period as it is used to confirm a longer term trend in the Market. I also attached the Woodie CCI indicator on top of this indicator to confirm the Trend indicator. I set Woodies CCI to Period 100 and set the second period to 14.
I also use the LSMA set at 100 for additional confirmation.
Presently I have only used these indicators to trade the BatFink with the trend of the market. Blue, Trade only sell Lines, Red trade only buy lines. However you can use the cross of the red and blue lines as an early buy or sell signal if the sell or buy signal is in line with the trend color. I have not yet used it this way but take the cross as confirmation and enter
when price hits trade entry lines.
SETUP OF INDICATORS:
BatFink Trend change
- Set Period to 100
- Set YesClose to True
This can be a pain but worth doing as it will take away a lot of choppy changes that are not really trends.
- In Levels set 0.18, 0.14, 0.1, 0.5, 0.0 Then -0.18, 0.14, 0.1, 0.5, 0.0. Set color to Black and thickness to five.
Woddies CCI
- Set first period to 100
- set second period to 14
- set color 0 to Orange Red
- set color 1 to Dodger Blue
- Set color 2 to None
- set number bars to 10000
FxSnipers LSMA
- Set period to 100
This is still progressing as a filter but has been quite succesful in filtering out some bad trades. You will also expect to miss some good trades when market trend is changing.
Cheers
