Good point Yes, Outside bars and Pin bars work the best at swing lows and highs. In my example, I thought the BEOB would have enough momentum to carry the price down to 147 area.

Not sure. Even though 153.50 area was a pretty decent support area during middle of Aug, I'm not sure if I would take a short position because of all that traffic between 149 - 153.

Yes, that would confirm 151-151.50 area is now acting as resistance....price flip area.

hmmm, are you asking if I would have taken a short position previous to 9/1 BEOB?

GBP/JPY BEOB — Yesterday, I was looking at this BEOB and almost got into this trade. I thought this was a good set up for a short entry for the following reasons: - Down Trend - Convincing break of price zone(Apr and May resistance) - Break of ...

Yes, I'm also looking at this. The only thing that bother me about this is: 1. It's up against trendline. 2. 1.600 is only less than 20 pips away. It is combination of these two that bothers me a little. Having said that, if we can break out it, we ...

Too funny Love to see MC Hammer doing Doh-Si-Doh. This could be a start of new dance trend.

EURCHF — Yesterday's candle created a beautiful BUB blowing past 3 months of side move. However, what bothers me about this BUB is what happened after after 3/12 BUB. I wonder if we are looking at a similar scenario. Any thoughts?

Yup, I believe you are correct. I would love to see price flip at 155, creating resistance. Then, again, beast being what it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see price keep falling to hit 151 area.

Yes, I got in on both of these trades, and just got out on a small pinbar on 1h chart. Since I was going against the trend I was ready to to jump out on any sign of reversal One of the primary reason for me to jumping into GBP/CHF trade was price ...

Thanks...I don't use 365EMA, but very helpful info. I'll keep my eye on this pair as the price approaches 365EMA. I'm sure it will have some kind of reaction as it approaches 365EMA.

Yes, I'll be watching for drawdown. Drawdown to the end of pin is less than 1% for me so I'm comfortable with this. Having said that, if it goes againest me, I'll be watching it very closely on lower timeframe.

Agree. The reason I like this pinbar is because of the trend. Also, last week's pinbar had a similar type of senario. If it breaks the pin, triggering my trade, I'll be watching it very closely, especially around 1.7900 area. I hope to see good ...

Pinbar on EUR/GBP and GBP/CHF — I have pending orders on these two pairs based on daily pinbars. Any thoughts?
- wwtravel replied Jun 18, 2009
I have a pending order at the break of the pin. You must have pulled trigger based on lower time frame.

USD/CAD — Pinbar crossing the trendline is worth watching. Not a very good pinbar, but it crosses the TL and overall Trend is down.
