Anthony, When this occurs I usually wait for the price to significantly reverse above the previous low. I don't count pips; rather, I break the previous day H/L into quadrants of 25/50/75 as OR does on SRDC2. If the price reverses and touches the 25 ...

Exits — Hey guys. I've been following this thread for some time reading and learning about breakouts. As mainly a trend following trader, I have found that breakouts on FX are much more profitable. But I have one question. What do you guys use ...

Fozzy Today — Guys... Today was election day in the US. Probably not a very good day to open any new trades unless you're trading the news or breakouts. Gotta wait for markets to normalize... Good Luck. mrLogik

As a small time frame trader, I'm interested in this indicator. Does anyone have an indicator? Thanks. mrLogik

RSI / 18/28 — Good point Rens. They're definatly not the same. Have you played with looking for both the RSI and 18/28 requirements? I would think that these entrances are "stronger," or more probable to produce a larger more profitable move. ...

Matt — Matt Are you looking for both the 5/12 cross and RSI cross on the exact same bar? Thanks Mrlogik

Great info — Thanks for your response. Very informative. Just a few other questions. 1. When you have the CCI cross, are you at all concerned with where the cross took place in reference to the 0 line? 2. Do you look at any larger time frame ...

Confluence Proximity — Ren, I am using the RSI as my "trigger." I only allow 3 bars max after an RSI cross to enter a trade (waiting for the 5/12 cross). If you wait to long you may enter at the end of the move. Although using this method you ...

tortoise whipsaw — Hey tortoise, I know that you dont' have to view the sniper FX CCI below the -200 cross to go long, but going long when the cross is close to 0... Isn't that a little dangerous? I have found statistically speaking that for a ...

Entrance — Dan... Did you refresh your SilverTrend? I dont have a blue dot to go long. I believe you can modify the code so you don't have to refresh your chart, as the indicator won't repaint itself. mrLogik.

EMAs Crossing? — Renasdad, I was looking over your chart in post #858 where you have your entry arrows. According to the third arrow from the left (a short entrance) you didn't wait for the 5 to cross below the 12. Am I missing something. ...

Normalize — Matt... I dont use metatrader but I can explain how I do it in TS. Here's the sydo code. // inputs: xInd(current value of indicator), p(period / number of samples); 1. get xInd 2. Find the lowest value of xInd over a period P. 3. ...

Slope is important. — renasdad, stricko108, Whenever I see insignificant crosses like that I like to look at the slope value of the line. I take the slope of the 5EMA with a period of 12 and the slope of the 12EMA with a period of 5. Looking ...

Slope — R. In my review of the entry rules I would say that the slope is important. I think of it as the "push." If the push is to strong it could mean that it's just a quick shot, but if the push is to weak then it could mean that the move is ...
