Hi Bemac, I'd be happy to hear more about the 30 / 8 rule, but first I need to grasp the basics.

If the notification of a new private message goes to his @yahoo.com account, then there wouldn't be any use. (and if somebody else tried to contact him, but failed, now we know the reason) Let's do not talk about this anymore, because it's not ...

Hello! OK, I've studied Jacko's Method as much as I could (by reading every single post on this thread + some of those where he made live trades) and here are two simple charts of EUR/USD (Weekly and Daily). Please correct me, if I'm missing ...

I'm glad you like it. Here is the corrected version.

OK, thanks for your help, guys. I have corrected the formula for the PIP value.

Money Management Spreadsheet — Hello! I've created an Excel money management spreadsheet, and I'd just like to ask, if someone could please review it and confirm, that the calculations are right for micro, mini and standard accounts. In fact, ...

Hm, a good idea. I'll try the demo first.

Thanks, this looks useful! I won't have a MT4 platform, but I'll try replicate the spreadsheet anyway.

I will do it via Excel then. Thanks to everyone for helping me with this!

Hi mrgreen and thanks for the suggestion. I did read the whole thread, together with the money management rules (which was very helpful). But, if we use DrainDamage's example, I need to do the calculations manually (which doesn't bother me at all) ...

Thanks. What would you recommend? To find a broker, who offers adjustable leverage, or to calculate the position size manually?
- Treehugger replied Jan 31, 2008
Thank you! I was confused, because if I remember right, I think I've demoed a broker once, who was offering a "custom" leverage from a "drop down" menu from their trading platform. But since it is the same if I do the calculation manually, this is ...

@MPP: thanks for sharing. By the way, I'm reading this whole thread from the beginning and currently I'm on page 36. I'm in the process of developing my own trading plan and even before I've found this invaluable thread, I decided to use only ...

Maybe you could share it with the rest of us? And yes, this thread is the best I've ever seen. Thank you to everyone, especially to Jacko.

Hello! I'm currently looking for a broker I could open my account with. I very much like EFX Group, which is ECN type of broker, but they don't provide any charting software yet. I've also reviewed the GFT and I feel they could be an attractive ...

I'd like to hear more about why should I avoid ECN brokers and why shouldn't I use someone else's charts? EFX Group is right now developing their own "advanced" charting software, but if that won't be as good as AccuCharts, I won't use it. I'll ...
- Treehugger replied Jan 4, 2008
Hi! Yeah, thanks again for recommending the AccuCharts! I just love this charting software. Very easy to use, clean design and very fast. It has all the stuff I need and it's very user friendly. I only wish that FXsol would be ECN type of broker ...

Hi, JFX81. I wasn't much home today, and now I'm so sleepy, I can't even keep my eyes open. I will post my experience with both programs tomorrow, after I'm finished with my work.
- Treehugger replied Jan 3, 2008
As far as I know, these "free" charting packages are tied to the provider (broker) of the software. But if you would buy the charting software yourself, you could choose any data feed you would want. (and probably pay for that too) At least this ...
