A smile for this guy! — My system is certainly NOT crappy! I have a squirrel in a box, and before I make a trade, I toss 3 acorns into the box. If there are an odd number of acorns left after 2 minutes, I go long, otherwise, I go short. The ...

Wow, that is so awesome of you to go over the code! I was going nuts about the order select, and didnt know that the array starts at 0, not 1. Not sure why i thought that though. I really appreciate the help, you've given me a lot to think about! ...

USD/CAD — Looking at the charts and news. Getting long predictions according to the news and the charts, but I can't see the USD/CAD getting too high up, esp. with the upcoming debt ceiling meeting. On the D1 chart, you can see the giant drop ...

Ok Ninj, I think I see what you're saying. Now you'd just be looking for some red arrows to compliment the taps, I think. And I really appreciate your taking the time to expand on my question! Thanks mate!

hey ninj, I hate to sound like a broken record, but how exactly did you determine where to draw those two TL's? The top one doesnt appear to have three taps on it, even though the pair went short, and the bottom one does have 3 taps, but I was under ...

Fair enough, but could it not be a case where the trend seems to be moving up, hitting the bottom of that line that I drew, then moving down suddenly? But I get what you mean. Also, that link has all sorts of good stuff, so thanks for that as well.

Re: Trendlines — Hey Nijn, thanks for the reply. As for the trendline question, what I meant was that I can look at a chart and draw a trendline that gets tapped three times, such as in this pic, but that just means that I made the line (the ...

arrows and taps — hey lawgirl, two questions if you don't mind. 1) The arrows that I'm looking at are the H4,D1, and W1. From what I've seen, the rule is that they all have to be pointing in the same, or similar, direction, is that correct? 2) ...

I'm also looking at using BB as a way to test buys/sells. I'm trying a 30M chart, shorting when the candles break the top, and/or buy to cover/go long when they break the bottom. I've looked at the history of one chart, and though I may have missed ...

That may be, but i'm usually about 15 pips SL, 25 TP, so I'm not sure if that is too tight. image EDIT: here's a chart, dollarcad, 15 min, and I said to myself, ok, there's a bit of a downtrend, indicated by the two green lines, and what I ...

Good point. My post did sound a bit depressing, so sorry about that. To answer your question, no, i don't trade simply because of what i read in a book. To sum up, I'm simply trying to trade with the trend, and the candles are a good indicator, but ...

How exactly do you beat the spread? if you're only taking one or two pips profit, how does that work? Or what i mean to say is, in the first ticket #7579688 @ 9:19 AM, you buy one lot at 1.41591, then close the trade at 1.41605 one minute later, so ...

Also having a similar problem — I tried to make a new thread, but i'm still too new, so anyways: Yes,I too was (am) having that exact same problem. To be honest, all i want is to get 20 to 30 pips per day, and currently I trade an amount that ...

USDCAD — My biggest question is when the news and analysis all said that the USDCAD is(was) bearish today, do they mean over the long run, or just for that particular day? Anyways, made some trades and am hoping for a nice long fall of the US ...
