Don't forget that much of the selling (corrections) is profit-taking by the bulls! Then after a drop they scale back in with the buys. PS. And the bulls are mostly institutional computer programs of course.

All I see on the hourly chart is a bull channel for the last 36 hours. No range appeared yet. Do you mean 1.2970?

I find the EURUSD follows the S&P futures Ok for first part of the day and then it uncouples and does its own thing. Would be interesting to know why this is happening. Maybe the HFT firms are playing games? Did/does the EURUSD follow anything ...

The EURO was below parity until mid 2002. Didn't stop Europe developing. Will be uncomfortable to get there again but life will go on. And a strong US dollar will not do the US much good remember.
