Bear in mind the above was done assuming the premium on a put is more or less equal to the net swap rate for the life time of the option – which in actual fact it is not, swap is more or less 50% of the premium only. The only way to isolate the swap ...

Hi there Jon167 I am currently contemplating joining Ikon GM for options/futures trading. Could you perhaps suggest another one for me to test out. Ikon is nice and have a nice platform, their spreads are bit high though and the platform eats ...

Hi there, Try North Finance, not sure if it is what you would be looking for, but they do take eGold. I am also still searching, for any broker though, regardless if they have MT4 or not. So if perhaps we can start a list of brokers taking eGold and ...

Hi there, Well done on those GPJPY trades !!! Yes, Kreslik is on about FPI, unfortunately it will probably never work with the retail brokers we have to deal with. With NFP on friday there was a temprorary 80 point spike in the one FPI ring, but ...

Hi, are you refering here to the positive/negative swings of the UPL. In other words, you will exit the setup when the UPL is up say $500-00 and then watch say a synthetic trade (not a live one - almost like a demo) untill it reaches perhaps ...

Hi, Do you mean that, after you enter the trades, the UPL (unrealized profit/loss) does not deviate with more than double the spread of the largest spread pair ? Could you perhaps afford a small example, just so we are on the same page. Thanks, MECER ...

Hey, this is great. I love math’s and statistics as well. My fiancé just likes chocolates though Anyhow, just little bit about me and my trading philosophy. I believe that each market has come into existence for a sole purpose. The share market ...

OOPS !!! To hedge EURUSD with USDDKK you need to either LONG both or SHORT both, not Long on and Short the other, they are negativly correllated !!!
- Mecer replied Feb 3, 2007
PS: The spread on USDDKK seems a bit on the wild side, 50 points !!! OUTCH, although I do notice looking at the historical spread data that it does narrow to 20 pips in early trade, mightbe best time to hit this initial deal then.

Nice catch there on the USDSEK (long) & EURUSD (short). I attach the Oanda interest tables. From them a proposed trade as above could have the following advantages. Receive 0.825% p/a on USDSEK long. Receive 1.225% p/a on EURUSD short. Margin ...

Hey folks, Though about North Finance a bit more. Earlier on I commented negatively on their big spreads between the bid/offer swap rates almost 2:1 actually which is way out of proportion to most other brokers. Anyhow, I suppose when given lemons ...

Hi, North Finance is great, they even accept eGold as method of funding...only downside if you're into swap trading is that they are useless in the sense that there is a HUGE spread difference between what they pay and what they charge, check out, ...

Hi, Thanks folks, it seems 0.01 is about as small as they get The reason I was aksing this is that I would need to build a synthetic pair now and then and to do it poperly, I suppose I would need to manage the trade sizes in more detail. I trade ...
