Well, the rule doesn't exactly apply as you say. Let's take a spread of 2, for a sell we have a 3 pips buffer, that's clear. In case of a buy, the spread is included in the 4 pips (as mentioned above), so resulting a buffer of only 2 pips. Quick ...

455 on the chart is the bid price. So, when talking about buys, the pending order will be set at 4 pips + spread.
