So lag 1 is now 0.2 instead of 0.55 and lag 2 is now 0.8 instead of 0.85?

Chandra, How does this work exactly? More than half of the buy and sell signals I get from your program do not follow the lag rules of Imran's system, even when I set the lag2 filter to true. Also, I've found that sometimes there are classic buy or ...

This is where using too many indicators and relying on this arrow and that arrow doesn't help you much. If you look at both of the "false indicators" on that chart, neither of them follow the basic rules of Imrains system. Lag 1 and Lag 2 need to be ...

They are pretty basic rules for forex in general, so they should work for all pairs, yes. It's also a good idea to stick with one pair for a little while as each one is different. Once you learn the behaviors of a pair and get a feel for its ...

I took this trade against the trend, but I only ever target 10 pips when going against the trend if the lags show a good entry. There was a good 20+ pip move, but it happened quite fast and if you were targetting more than 10 pips it could have very ...

Congrats fxdiva! I was waiting for this move and then I got a huge migrain headache and had to lie down. Of course, the market always moves when you're away from your computer! LOL

Yep, that was me. I had never even heard of Meta Trader, much less used it, a week ago, so it was all new to me. It took me about an hour to understand how meta trader worked, how to install filters, etc, and then another 2 hours of messing around ...

Here's an example of how the rules keep you out of a trade that could go bad. If you look at this chart, this is a classic SELL indicator. It doesn't get much more obvious than this. However, we have 2 rules that would be broken if we take this ...

You know, that's a good question. I've never really quantified it. I'd estimate around 30-40 pips. The reason I'd estimate that is because it's not worth it (to me personally) to enter a trade if I can't make 15-20 pips or more. So, if the EMA ...

I was answering some questions for someone via PM and I thought it might be good to post it in this thread. Basically, it's my rules for this strategy. For some of you (especially the regulars) this info is basically common sense to you. It goes ...

It makes perfect sense and it happened to me. I just saw a really good sell indicator and had I not been so shell shocked from earlier today I would have jumped in. I trust the indicators, I just don't trust myself.

I know, but I broke so many of my rules, I just wanted to get out of the trade and move on. If I had perfect dicipline and only followed my rules, I would have traded 100% today (made 0 trades lol). In the end, it was just a combination of mistakes: ...

I just exited at -40 pips. That's -64 on the day, 0 for 3. Talk about making stupid mistakes...
