And a clear area of liquidity to aim for as well...

Hi SK, Just my take on these, but they all hit their FTAs (First Trouble Areas). See the highlighted charts for what I would have been watching/targeting. I would agree that none of these went to the moon, or were big runners, but most of the time ...

Hi Jim, This wouldn't qualify as an SFP on the hourly chart, as the bar marked 1 closed above the highs. We want to see the highs broken, but then for price to close back below that level within the same bar (or above if looking for longs off ...

Gold - SFP — And another SFP the other way on Gold. Seems to have been the day for SFPs 3 out of 3 for mine, but spotted a few others that worked as well (such as your USDCAD gdb )

H1 SFPs — A couple of H1 SFPs this morning on USDCHF and #YM. Both were against bearish daily PA, so full profit was taken at the FTA as marked on the charts. Space + divergence = very high strike rate! Thanks for sharing Tom

Would this be classed as a valid SFP on EURUSD?

I preferred the CADJPY when we got the first PB off that level. Thanks Jarroo

Preferred this one out of the CHF pairs, on AUDCHF, nice PB + clear divergence. Stop already at BE, shooting for 0.9500

Nice spot J. I'm with you on this one. Good divergence too, should be a clear shot to the FTA, then possibly 1.6200. I know where you're coming from Pip. I guess it all depends on what type of trader you are and how you like to play things. ...

I'd be careful trading with a pin bar of this nature. I assume the one you mean that I've pointed out with the arrow on the chart? Personally, I'd prefer to see a PB formed like the one I've drawn on the chart. The term 'pin' is short for pinocchio, ...

2 trades for Friday morning: EURAUD - LOB: Entry at 1.5340, stop trailed down behind PA. Just before EUR GDP was released price manically shot back up and took out my stop for +0.5R. Shame, it was only 15 pips away from my TP AUDJPY - 1h ...

My 1st touch trade — 1st attempt at a touch trade. Confluence of 50% fib from last swing, previous swing low, and 50sma. Limit sell entry at 1.4025 with a 20 pip stop. Target of 1.4005 hit, 1:1. Didn't want to try and push this past the round ...

Here's another way you could have played this one. Again, we in essence have a 1,2,3 formation. Price then breaks the trendline and the 2 of the formation. Rather than enter here, if we fib out the move down, the 50% and retracement trendline line ...

Ah ok, I thought you were looking at the 4h chart before. My broker doesn't show quite such a gap as yours, but yes the news did spike that one through. There was an opportunity to take a long position based on the tweezer bars which retested the ...

I'm with ya! Eyeing up the Gap marked in pink as the possible target area... most of the time these will close. Best, Chris

GBPCHF — Anyone else in this today?
- Chris P replied Feb 1, 2010
Here's a chart with my trendline drawn on it. I prefer the trendline to pick up obvious lows/highs of bars, rather than trying to 'fit' it to a retracement. Also, a trendline closer to 45° is always preferable over a steeper line. This may still ...

Here was the real entry on fiber. Break of trendline with news. Retest, 5 min pin bar and down we go

GBPCHF — Here's a potential setup to keep an eye on. This is going to take a long while to setup, and I'd hate to try and predict the market, as someone we all know once said: "Trading is not about predicting the next move - it's about ...
