I'm pretty sure you can spread bet the DAX for pennies with FXCM.co.uk.

They look like enlarged 5 minute candles - doesn't seem a bad scalping idea to me - as long as you have correlated movement.

Your model doesn't know my rules or their parameters or when and how applied - if you want to think that it does, that's fine by me - I'm not here to argue, you're welcome to your opinion and I will stick with what I know works for me. Good luck.

To be honest I couldn't care less what you wrote - I'm writing from a Trader's point of view, not a mathematician's. All I know is that when the market is consolidating I do not want to leave a full position at risk and do not want to tighten my ...

The trouble with the mathematical approach is that it doesn't take into account market condition - different rules at different times.

Personally I think traders should take the focus off profits and focus more on positioning - they are of course linked, but good positioning will inevitably lead to good profits. If you have a good entry off the bottom of a range with zero risk, and ...

I trade mostly short term, but try to catch medium term trends - I had a medium term Buy (which I wanted to hold) and also got a short term Sell - so I did have faith in my strategy - it would only suggest I didn't if I hadn't have taken the hedge ...

Yeah, profits are not being made on the equally hedged positions whilst the market is in a range, but it doesn't negate the fact that they are 'good' positions. If daily profits are also wanted or needed, these can still be made whilst holding the ...

So you think it better that I watched my Long position return to break even? I was happy to hold it because it looked like a break out from the period of consolidation - but it wasn't to be and reversed straight back into the range. It is a good ...

On 16th April, I went Long at 1.3047 with a 13 point stop loss. I would normally close half the position at +13 - which gives me a totally risk free trade. As it happens the market moved up fast and I closed half at + 30 - I had a few points profit ...

I commend you on your honesty and your ability to at least see where you are going wrong. Not going to add anything because I think Mike Haran has 'summed it up', except to warn you against throwing more money at it - please don't. That is totally ...

I would also recommend that you listen to the newswires - most of it is boring drivel, at least to me, but if you see a reaction like this, it's better to know if it is for a 'reason'. Momentous moves like this rarely happen these days, but if you ...

No touchy touchy....unless you deem it to be at a particular support or resistance - even then it would be better to wait for a bit more commitment from the big boys - and of course CP.

Trading the 1M is possible - but can be very difficult. Patience is your greatest ally - on directionless days the 1M will kill you unless you're very careful. As previously suggested, a low risk high reward is probably the best approach. This means ...

Yeah, I've just realised I've opened a can of worms - apparently The Crucial Princess is well known for her superiority without discussion. I had better try and contribute something positive to this thread now....

LOL, I obviously touched a nerve....

I completely understand your reasons for not sharing your system, as I too have a very profitable system which I don't want to share, give away or sell, but I don't understand your motivation for posting it - especially in places where it has no ...

Thanks, and to you too.

To make it easy I'm going to try to upload as an image, but will also attach a pdf.

OK, just a quick update... There is an easy way to run several instances of MT4 from the same broker - and to re-name them so that you can keep an eye on them if they are dragging on the CPU. Won't bother posting details unless someone requests.
