my current count after some recent adjustments. 1 and 4 do not overlap in this count.

15m chart — Currently wave 3 is the shortest wave. This means that wave 5 will be shorter. It wouldn't surprise me to see wave 5 form an ending diagonal. This would indicate a large sudden drop. It would be similar to the formation at the top ...

As previously stated, it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if she kept pushing higher. But if the current up move retraced 61.8 percent, it would perfectly match the opposite shoulder. IF this happens, I will be heavily long.

above 8500. (1.1200 would be nice)ndepends on when and how wave 5 plays out. with the positive swap, i am not too worried about how long it takes. i don't mind holding a carry trade.

looks like mr. bandwidth may get the inverted h&s he mentioned 6 hours ago. nice buy below 4800.

I didn't say that. I'm bullish at this point. (but ask again tomorrow)

I don't disagree other than there is not MUCH more room for downside. Anything below 3800 nullifies this count. (But you know that) If you are right, I will pick up a better entry. If wave 4 is complete, then I've got a good entry. If it hits 3800, ...

i've been watching the same thing (and jumped the gun twice as well, probably in the exact same spots as rusty) along with the chart, there is also a link to dailyfx that has a similar wave count. url

I've posted this 52 week wide H&S (S-S) (26 weeks S-H-S) pattern before. Posting again because the neckline retest will be in play this coming week.

This is off topic. i am posting it here because it is one of the largest threads. I had every intention of coming home from work and trashing my new broker (MBT) to anyone that would listen. When I woke up this morning and checked my trades I saw ...

Care to elaborate? Personally, I'm bearish per charts I posted on previous page but I will wait for confirmation.

I'll be watching this closely as well. Be aware that it is VERY common for wave "E" to extend beyond TL before reversal. USD/CAD represents an example in progress. And yet an even better example in progress on GU.

Unfortunately for me (not really), I learn more from my mistakes than I do from my successes (as do most whether they realize it or not). Every failure in trading is a VERY important opportunity for improvement. Ego has no place in trading and i see ...

yeah. i'm still in. was waiting on wave c to form out. will move sl after price drops lower than wave 5.
- jeeper replied Jan 19, 2012
diagonals will typically retrace to the beginning of the wave (around 27350 in this case). my TP is at 27450 just to be safe. i'll be moving my SL to 28625 momentarily and then to bed. i'll get a few pips regardless. good night.

there have also been a lot of reversals in this area including a recent high which gives me an easy exit if this resistance fails.

off topic — posted this on the EU forum already. anyone that uses elliott wave will recognize the fifth wave diagonal here.
