I use $400 instead of $200 as an extra measure of safety, especially when there is a very large floating DD. I just tend to be very conservative and this meets my comfort level. Best Regards,

After reading my post, it looks a bit confusing. So here it goes again. On a standard account .01 (micro) lot does have a value of $0.10 per pip. On a mini account the .01 (nano) lot has value of $0.01 per pip. In the above example I would trade .05 ...

That's for a standard account. To trade nano lots, just multiply the answer by 10. For example $10,000 (I use balance) / $400 x .01 / 5 (max pairs) comes to .05 standard lots or 0.5 nano lots. I have an IBFX mini account. Equity is nearly at a point ...

Sorry, misplaced parentheses. I want to trade .01 lots per $200 of balance. Then divide that by the number of pairs I intend to trade. This gives me lot size. (balance/200)*.01 / number of pairs to trade = lots to trade Best Regards,
