Exports are just a small fraction of the UK economy so currency devaluation will not help the UK substantially. The continuing decline of foreign direct investment is the real thread and is what's going to hit the UK hard for years to come.

A ending diagonal as Elliott described is the most trustworthy pattern in my view and looks like a wedge. This pattern indicates that "the trend" is slowing down considerably and usually there is divergence as well. url
