Market orders get filled instantly. Limit orders often don't get triggered. I called OANDA twice to ask why and they said the spread widened at that time. In other words, what I was seeing on my MT4 charts weren't consistent with the bid/ask prices ...

Not slipped. My orders just aren't getting filled because of the spread. For example, let's say I'm waiting for the price to drop to 1.3400 and then go long. Very often the price will go down as far as 1.3393 and my order is still not triggered. ...

No, I don't trade news. I look for reversals at certain levels based on a few technicals. I get in 3 to 5 trades per week. Avg trade last about 2 days. Thanks

I'm looking for the guaranteed fill. Very often I don't get filled and by the time I look at the charts, the price is too far away from optimal entry. If the fill is close to the desired price (give or take 10-12 pips) I'd be happy. Thanks

Question — I use Oanda and I often do not get my stops and limit entries executed. I have missed many good trades because of this. Are ECN's more dependable with limit entries?
