I should really break the wave down and count it out, but I agree a short trade looks great, at least to a double bottom. After making new lows on your chart, I expect this trade to head long, and fast and far.

Like a good quarterback who throws a pick 6? Just move on. Agreed. I had to learn that trading principle the hard way.

I think it is a bear market rally as well.

Appears we need a 4th wave correction short and then when it is done we'll move long for the final 5th before this takes off hard short.

yes, the mid day volume is puke right now. and that floor you mentioned is a tough one. i took quite a bath today on this pair. live and learn. my take profit and stop loss did not trigger for some reason so a $400 gain last night turned into a ...

I see the triangle as well. It should explode out of that short for a new low. Do you feel this pair is done running short? It is awfuly oversold at this point.

Wow. What a bloodbath.

Hi there skyhok. Given the above image and count, doesn't this force a recount of the pair, as least as labels go? That retracement was far deeper than I anticipated. Technically, the move can go far shorter before it enters into the primary wave ...

Well, that's frustrating. I made some shorting this pair, but I lacked the patience to really let this move short enter deeply into the territory of the 4th wave of the prior large 3rd wave. I clipped $300 when I should have netted $1,200. So, from ...

This pair is having a tough time breaking down to the suggest retrace range of the prior 4th wave region.

skyhok, do you feel we are in a triangle or some kind of flat for the smaller degree 4th inside of the c of 4 and that we'll explode higher for the 5th to end c and then get the move short on for the a of C of (A)? That tri may be nearly over. I ...

Does everyone agree that we are in for at least a small pullback before price action resumes it march higher? Nothing moves in a non-linear manner.

Got it. Small wave 2 and complex 4 or running flat. Appears we still need to finish off a sideways move on this pair and a small push short and then maybe your long move for the larger 4 (C) etc. That was a monster move today....damn.

Was wave 5 or your (3) an ending diag? The move down from your iv to (3) looks like 3 waves.

skyhok, can you zoom out a bit for me? I have something similar, but I was calling a 4th wave over before it pealed short. The move short is the start of a 5th to take us to deep new lows. It appears you labeled b short and are working on a ...

You feel the upward correction is now over and we're headed short to at least make a double bottom and most likely a new low?
- notsocasual replied Feb 26, 2015
I think I am misunderstanding you. Price will fall to the 118.30-60 region in about 5.5 hours, and then explode higher to the 120 region before the weekend even arrives?

Boy, it is tough, isn't it? I use Elliott Wave Theory, and I believe we finished waves 1 short (sept '14), 2 long (sept '14), 3 short (early Jan '15), and are just about done with 4 long to end our correction and then we're headed short for new ...

You believe price is headed toward your long, colored rectangle?
- notsocasual replied Feb 26, 2015
Are you utilizing Elliott Wave Theory? Why did you drop the triangle formation in lieue of a complex correction for this giant wave 4?
