Piparins - I traded with Michael Storm for several live in his trading room years ago, loved his style, but it can be very dangerous. And I don't think the guy ever slept! My favourite trader. I didn't think he was still around?

I truly hope Forexcup that your new thread gets the chance to survive without all this meaningless tripe thats posted on these forums every day. One huge ego trip amongst many. Why Mingary when you feel that trading Forex is impossible and has ...

Very interesting, thanks for the stats on your two trading accounts. Like the fact there are no unrealised losses to wipe out the gains. Will follow this thread with interest. That gbp/chf trade, 5 positions - did you pre-set the 5 entries, or plan ...

I don't usually comment on these forums, they're too full of abuse. If you're negative everyone slaps you down as a loser, if you claim to have a successful system then you're bragging and unbelievable! But your post is interesting. I have been ...

I have been trading for 10 years, the first 2 were where I lost the most money - from being advised to switch from a demo to live account after 2 days - to being part of a copier trading account where the operator blew the account - and a mixture of ...

I think the original purpose of this post was to ask for help with EA, on which I definitely can't help. However, the whole set up seems flawed to me. Where do you place the original buy/sell orders? In theory you could simply enter anywhere. Where ...

I trade on a grid system, I also understood the concept of Martingale to be increasing the lot size on new positions. Unless I am misunderstanding your system, you are simply widening the gap between the buy and sell positions, and unable to move in ...

I am not sure I understand this correctly. You close the trade in profit - then re-open exactly the same size in the same direction? Why? Why close it at all, surely you are only paying the spread twice? I thought this was similar to my own ...

The dream of making a living from forex just got much harder with new leverage rules. But no matter what the market does, if traders are blowing their accounts its because they are trading too high size. I like to trade multiple small positions, I ...

its also important to factor in the cost of holding trades. I had 3 pending sell orders trigger last night on the eur/aud - 1.5845, 1.5860 and 1.5875. Sometimes I place 20 to 50 tps on these positions, last ngiht I forgot. I closed 2 positions this ...

I too have been trading for a long time, and these are my thoughts. I gave up reading FF posts a long time ago, there is so much abuse, or bragging, and an inability of many to accept another persons viewpoint. But this post caught my eye, and I ...

Why isn't it considered valid trading a micro account - if one trader has one or two open positions of standard lot size, another trader might have 30 positions of 5 micros each. And I think most of us are here are simply to make a living.

If no-one is profitable long term - why are you here watching this forum and submitting posts? If I believed that, I would be either making money elsewhere, or basking in the sunshine.

This is an excellent post. I too made enquiries of Oanda and Forex.com and got unsatisfactory vague answers. Since the chf fiasco, I try to keep the positions very small in relation to the account size (but of course this lowers my profitability). ...

Yes, I agree that its a shame this useful post has disintegrated into the usual aggressive I- know -it -all responses. I think the level of rudeness is totally unacceptable - helpful suggestions/criticisms are whats needed. Orolos post is perhaps ...

I have been trading small for a couple of years, until this week I had no idea you could be held responsible for negative balances. Having had a few accounts closed in the early days on margin calls, I thought (like many others I think) that a zero ...

SKFX thanks for your reply, just seen it, missed it somehow. First time I have ever seen someone say a chart is just a tool for risk, very interesting. It certainly doesn't sound easy, will look at the three above, and keep reading the threads, and ...

To tunera - I am enjoying this thread, even if eu/usd is not playing ball. Have come unstuck so many times buying tops and selling bottoms, loathe to do it again. To skfx - can you please point me in right direction to get some info on CBs and macro ...

This is an excellent thread tunera, just seen it after being away for 2 weeks. I am currently trying to wriggle out of loads of losing positions created by cutting winners quick, letting losers run (yeah its stupid, but so easy to do), and ...

I have visited this site for a few years as a guest, today I have joined as I feel I must add to this thread. I have had terrible experiences with this broker. The worst experience however was when my trading partner died unexpectedly. I had access ...
