[quote 4) my best finding: itīs ok to take event-risk on ecb decission day. but from now on, itīs a hard rule to close at the beginning of the press-conference.[/quote] What I dont understand that as a trader why did u hold the position over the FED ...

Of course, that what the markets expects and obviously a small chance of a -0.50 %, but the main part of it is the statement. If think its going to be -0.5% cut then may as well just go long seconds before the announcement. I will have no position ...

I take it you intend to hold the position over the FED? Surely this is just gambling as no one has any idea what the FED will do /say before the decision? Probably best to have NO position/be flat before the announcement rather like the ECB ...

I am just asking what has happened to Deltaone. Not saying he has blown up his account. But buying keep averaging and buying every 200 ticks lower with no stop loss seems suicide to me.I know from experience.

Any idea what has happened to Deltaone? I guess he has blown up all his account with averaging long on DAX every 200 fat tick dip with no stop loss? I guess this is what eventually happens averaging and trading with no stop loss. A very nasty lesson ...

Ah . if you spreadbet as opposed to using the market direct, its better to use INTERTRADER than those cowboys at IG, 1.8 tick spread is a disgrace especially if using a tight stop.A 18 tick stop and you are paying 10% in the spread costs. No thanks. ...

Do you use IG spreadbetting with your trades?? IF so, when did IG index increase the spread to 1.8 ticks?? it used to be 1?? Thanks Col.
- Cprice76 replied Nov 17, 2015
Moving your stop to breakeven point when only +10 onside is madness as ( if spreadbetting ) you are paying 10% ( ie 1 tick ) in the spread. Correct me if I am wrong.
