I am inclined to think that unhappy people are more likely to pursue material/moneymaking goals - they think or hope it will cure their unhappiness. Somebody (I forget who) once said that money does not buy happiness, but it does buy a better class ...

I named and shamed a top contributor on FF yesterday, but my posts disappeared within minutes. So I cannot name this female impersonator here. You may have to spend a little time digging, but I suggest you start by Googling "Alexa Smith Warrior ...

I am confused by your posts on this subject, Xela. You keep making this same point (I am not criticising by the way), but when I asked you about IG Index (Brokers and slippages, 16 October), you replied that you would not be worried about their ...

Thank you for your answer, Xela.

I use IG Index for spreadbetting. Would you consider them to be a genuine broker or not?

Thank you for your reply, Xela. I meant percentage return rather than actual figures, but I am happy with your answer. Long may your success continue.

I find your posts interesting, Xela. May I ask how long you have been trading profitably for, and what is your average monthly return?

Hi Danjuma. Yes, it must have been your post. I apologise unreservedly to you and Buff. I should not have jumped in to accuse Buff without investigating further. This is certainly an interesting and unusual method of trading.

There was another post immediately after Buff's Post 204. The poster spotted some inconsistencies in Buff's claimed results. The post has now been deleted. I smell a rat, or is it bullsh!t I can smell? Would the author of the deleted post like to PM ...

pgd: This looks like a good set-up to me. What moving average are you using on your chart?

re. the first chart in post #45, it looks to me as though the second of the two highs you refer to is not quite as high as the first. Post 44 makes this point.

Thanks PipsiKoala. I think your USD/CAD would have been a valid set-up. I would have taken it if I had spotted it, except that I don't trade this pair. My spread-betting provider (IG Index) once widened the spread on a trade on this pair and stopped ...

I put the SL at 10202, just under the swing low, so my risk is 7 pips (entry at 10209). I must admit I am not trading it quite like rifid. I have put 2 lots on, one to close at 1:1, the other at 4:1.

Your EUR/USD looks like a perfect set-up to me. Unfortunately, I missed it. I am in USD/JPY, but I was probably a bit hasty as it is not the best of set-ups.

60mm, thanks for your Post 116. I was a little confused about your money management, but the top chart explains it beautifully. I took a long trade last Thursday in AUD/USD, which was soon stopped out. I have just re-entered the pair. Fingers ...

What effect would paying overnight interest on your positions have?

Excellent links, 60mm and Mike. Thank you.

Regarding trend filter, I suspect this may be the biggest variable in performance between traders using this type of strategy. And I must admit, I can't make up my mind on this subject. If I was 60mm, I would be inclined to continue as before on the ...
