I'm guessing someone got their timezones crossed and it created some misinformation. 8:30pm CET is a weird time to announce something on the day you had a press conference at 2:30.

Huh? He already did his press conference at 2:30pm CET. Whatchoo talkin' bout - is there another one?

Euro dollar should drop a couple dozen more pips to swallow up last week's super mario hopium rally. I think from there we go sideways until NFP kicks all the risk currencies down further tomorrow. I'd be wary of longing at this point.

Hopium only gets you so far, investors were looking for something more substantial like non-standard policy to rally. He didn't back up what he was pumping last week, it's not enough.

Depends on how the market reacts @ US open, if not we might see it tomorrow with NFP. I'm not trading until NFP though where we'll hopefully establish a clear direction.

I'd be careful until the ECB decision is out tomorrow. You almost certainly won't make it to 1.0253 before then.

Took profit for 60 pips, erased the bad taste from my mouth last week when super mario brought me to stop loss. I'm not convinced it'll fall much further from here with the Euro decision still on the horizon.

Taking a small long here, I think a run up to 1.235 is in the cards before it crashes and burns.

Isn't a short like that kinda risky with all the important US data hitting tomorrow?
- MattD replied Jul 25, 2012
A few things weighing in like the poor GBP GDP earlier, the piss poor housing data from the US and investors looking ahead to the US GDP later in the week. Added onto the obviously bad Euro situation and it's a rough day.

I think so too, I entered short.

Staying out of this pair for now since it could go either way at this point imo. Will look for entries around the CPI release later in the day.

Entered a short @ 1.0315 with a tight SL, looking for 1.022. Pulling out if it can't break 1.0300 on the next go.

I dunno man, I think we might see a deep swing in the 1.02xx before we shoot back up. Good luck, I'm just watching at this point.

I'm also from Alberta. I moved from AvaFX to Pepperstone and it's been a pleasant experience thusfar. Ava had some brutal spreads. I haven't tried to withdraw funds at Pepperstone yet so I can't comment on that, but at least my deposit was processed ...

Shorted at 1.0433, I think this pair is going to see a significant downside before the week's over. SL @ 1.046, TP is open for now while I watch to see what it does. Hello all btw, long time lurker finally decided to open an account.
