My broker ActivTrades terminated my acoount with long EUR/CHF positions (no S/L or anything like this) I cannot understand. They said with all my longs only in one pair EUR/CHF I am a high risk customer and they don't want to have me anymore. Had to ...

At what time is the press conference? When can we see that on their web tv?

Sorry.. but in my opinion they cheating you! Interbank swap is at the moment -0.20/-0.05. So they can still earn money by rolling your long position every day with +0.05 pips. I am with ActivTrades and they changed the long swap to 0 some weeks ago.

url Just had a look on that. It shows the Comparative Price Levels between the OECD countries. When I have seen right the Swiss can buy a consumer basket worth 100 CHF in Switzerland for 61 CHF in Germany. With an actual EUR/CHF at 1.2 that means ...

SNB will be bid 500 billions at 1.2005! So I don't think there will be a change. Concerning all the discussions that they will lower the peg: I don't think SNB can do that. Their credibility will be destroyed forever!!!

I am with you! All the press talks about "SNB is loosing money"! That's bullshit! The only thing that happens is that they increase the risk. If the EUR/CHF is still above 1.20 they don't loose anything. By the way I think they earn money with that ...

When we speak about capital controls or interest rate taxes for foreigners we always have a look back to Brazil. And as a remark a lot of you mentioned that the experiment hasn't worked well!!! Please don't forget: In EUR/CHF we alreaday have a ...

Heavy action at the moment on the level around 1.2007 when I see the volume on my broker!
- Kfp replied Jun 6, 2012
I think actual CPI figures are relevant for SNB to see if there is any inflation coming up --> bad for long EUR/CHF more pressure on peg but still remember the cap of inflation is at 2 % for SNB. The actual situation is far away from that! the other ...

I agree: Libor Overnight CHF is at 0.015 % at mom Libor Overnight EUR is at 0.2604 % at mom. So it's already lower than the discount rate of EZB at 1 %. There shouldn't be a negative swap at long EUR/CHF with your broker after any decision to lower ...

usd/chf long is like eur/usd short these days. why don't you take the pair with the better spreads?
- Kfp replied Jun 4, 2012
No, I don't think so. That's not Swiss like!!! I really don't understand who is selling all this EUR/CHF? If all this CHF inflows are from Greece or Spain. OK! But what kind of "trader" builds up that massive short positions against a national ...

I will also join this opinion. If we would have the situation, that the market stays on his own between 1.2008-1.2012 it wouldn't be necessery for SNB to do anything. But now they intervene, have an increase of their EUR position and a lot of CHF ...
