Nice day at the office!! As you say, there are good days and a few "not so good". It always tastes better on a good day though.

A very nice result.

Tough day,eh? — LT, I am sure you have taken it in stride and more than likely put it past you with a beer (2). To all the prospective traders that may wish to follow your strategy, I think this was an opportune time to highlight the other ...

Hi LT, When you post your ranges for tonight, could you possibly also quote the "spot" quotes of the Dow , FTSE and S&P that you have at a specific time so that I can match them up with the futures at the same time. I have figured out the ...

As much as I would like to know so that I can convert to futures, one has to respect LT's offer to help traders by creating this thread.

Ok my concern was you showed the ranges for dow, ftse and s&p and the fact that you live in the US means you cannot trade spreads on those indices. Currencies , of course, are a different issue. Good luck with E/U. FYI, I am "stuck" as I only trade ...

Lucky Lefty, You are aware that these numbers are spread numbers and not futures contracts ,aren't you?
- Fair Dinkum replied Jan 12, 2012
Thank you. I have also come to the realization that even the S&P spread along with the currencies are a lot different to futures;unless there is a conversion factor, and I bet there isn't.

Hi LT, Would you be kind enough to post a chart of the day's activity for A/U. I will then have your method "nutted". Thank you.

Thank you. I now realize what you mean by "points". Being that I trade futures I took it to mean 2 full points, whereas you are referring to spread points. Yes , that will clear it up, I hope

Ok, I am not a 'chart' person,so the way I saw the action today was that you were unlucky on a reversal 4 units from 2811 back to 2770 ; other than that you came out of it well. The perfect scenerio was if you got your 4 unit price at ~+ 20 and then ...

Interseting thread...btw you have left your account number up in the top l/h corner. Maybe you can delete the chart and remove account # before reinstalling it.

Ok, I just caught up with my French translation of "prix moyens", which means average price. Therefore, I have to assume the close of the bar in question was the AVERAGE of that period, being 1.3197, but in reality, the price WENT through TO 1.3224 ...

Amazing there can be over a 30 pip difference between quote systems or brokers. So all your work is off a quote system or are you trading sim/real time? I am going to check with a couple of these spread houses and see what they come up with for that ...

That is one hell of a "difference", especially as everything else has lined up to the "t".!! I am using a futures broker trading 6E.

Hi there, This strategy is very sound and in about a month, after I have completed my live test, I would like to offer a modification (enhancement) to this very simple system. From the results of the euro, which is the only one I am interested in ...
