Aussie-Yen analysis — Appreciate any feedback on this analysis: BEOB on the AUDJPY weekly off the 365 EMA and a 61.8 Fib. TAs at pivot and support lines. Small pin on the AUDJPY daily suggests that a short entry on retrace of the BEOB ...

Hi S, No, I had a winning trade. Half for profit & half got stopped out after I moved stop to better than BE. You asked: Why not put stops 1 pip away on every trade? If you put stops one pip away on every trade you would probably get stopped out for ...

If you read the thread from the start you would have noted that James16 always likes to take profit on half his posi early and move stops to b/e even if it means getting stopped out. He HATES seeing a winning trade, however modest, turn into a ...

Note my chart was snapped when I placed the order on Wednesday. I took profit on half my position and moved stop to a little better than b/e on the other half, which was taken out last night my time.

Hi S, You're looking at a different currency pair, or at least you posted a different chart. Correction: You have posted a USDCAD chart and the pin I traded off was Tuesday's and it looks the same to me as mine. I also use FXDD (demo). Cheers D

Try that again — I'll try this again :-) I wasn't clear last time. The BEOB was on the weekly. I posted the daily with a Fib indicating entry on retrace of BEOB. Here I have both the weekly (post-trade) and daily (pre-trade). EDIT: replaced ...

The Fib on the attached daily chart is effectively the BEOB on the weekly. So if I were to move that out to the weekly chart, you would see the BEOB.

EURCAD weekly BEOB set up — Hello wonderful J16ers! I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this set-up. The chart attached is a view of the EURCAD daily on Monday after I set my sell limit order. The Fib represents last week's BEOB, ...

Hi Mike, Thanks very much. I figured it was a tight one and one to watch closely. Would you bother with set ups like this? Or wait for even better ones? Cheers D

Got it. Thanks. It's all relative :-)

Thanks again. I'm trying not to use any indicators at all; learning to filter PA set-ups by using manually-drawn trend lines, manually-drawn pivot zones, and fibs to find confluence and danger/target areas. However, at extremes where there is no PA ...

Thanks PhAnTi, Still going through early pages of the thread where it's asserted that PBs like other setups are more reliable on higher timeframes. Question is because these currency pairs are in previously uncharted price territory (lows) would the ...
