Thank you for this wonderful New Year's gift and for keeping this thread so vibrant and relevant.

I just assumed you meant the Traders Dynamic Index. Here it is in both ex4 and mq4. I am including both because I haven't tried re-compiling it with a new version of mql4. The indicator does allow for user defined line characteristics without any ...

So true! I ignored Big E on several counts as far as when to enter and exit. Most of my trades I entered late and then didn't follow the rules for exit. Chalk it up to too much on my plate and not being near the computer at the appropriate ...

I made the mistake of looking at the one hour chart....based on that and according to TMS rules I exited prematurely for a very small gain. Had I just stuck with the 4hr chart I would still be in the trade for much much more than I made on that ...

EA trade reached first target and second position is now showing guaranteed profit with a 40 pip trailing stop. I have 2 positions on each of three other currencies all profitable but, some moving much slower than others. Funny thing this greed/fear ...

Thank you for your comments Likica. I came in on this one a little late also...I was just away and didn't settle down until later than I should have been. I am a lazy trader and don't trade less than four hour charts. I used to trade mostly 30m but, ...

Given the steep down trend this one seemed a little risky but, the TDI bounce looks good and price has broken through the trend so I decided to "gamble" on this one and go long. image

Came to the party a little late on this one contrary to the rules but, seeing the channel it is in it looks like high odds to meet first target before moving to BE. image

Sometimes news just messes everything up as others have stated. However, in this particular instance I believe something else might also have helped you avoid this trade. The TMS method uses HA candles for very good reason but, they sometimes ...

Since mid-February the GJ has been in a sideways pattern oscillating about 300 pips. Right now it is near the high of the last three months. The question before us is will this break out or will it turn back down as in the previous months?

Some people use the MBL but, I don't. I believe emmanuel whom I consider to be the de facto expert on this system does use it. I am sure he will correct me if I am wrong. In your example, if the TDI crosses below the fifty and everything else says ...

Based on your 4Hr chart I think you know why it failed. But let me add some extra perspective. This so-called TDI indicator is just a slightly smoothed RSI with a signal line. The RSI is a momentum indicator. When the RSI is above 50 the momentum is ...

No I didn't and wouldn't. The TDI is in a slight oscillation going sideways (a reflection of the prices you see on your screen). This pair is not trending nor is it breaking out of its tiny range yet.

As Burt Reynolds said in the movie The Best Little Whore House in Texas: "I know when someone is pissing on my boots and telling me it's raining."

The trouble with this strategy is that the indicator lags so much that you are often entering the trade late (just before it changes direction) or you miss out altogether. I trade the 4h time frames and a better method is to confirm the strength of ...

The news was all bad. Anybody with an ounce of brains knows that 162,000 new jobs will not drop the unemployment by 2 tenths. The drop in unemployment didn't come because of how many were hired but, because of how many were counted as giving up and ...

IBFX had a six pip drop at the same time as FXCM but, hardly noticeable on a 15 min chart and not at all noticeable on large TFs. I think you're on the right track with larger SL. I also believe a tight SL is a "bulls eye". image

Horse pucky! Government meddling and destruction of the free markets by Governments and Central Banks are the real reasons. Everything else is rationalization for pathetic policies.

And where has he been for the last four years? That's how long it has been going on but, it was called currency manipulation not currency war. The only reason for the so-called stability during that time is because the major players were doing it in ...

Thanks for great indicators — New tmatrue slope indicator and settings is fantastic. It filters out an occasional good trade but, mainly filters out a lot of false signals. Since it doesn't repaint I don't wonder about the results. And a ...
