Targeting civilians in hospital is horrific, but it's more in the Hamas playbook than in Israel's playbook. Hamas deliberately targeted and murdered Israeli civilians a week or so ago. According to the IDF this latest hospital attack was not fired ...

Market has factored in a 0.25 rate increase tomorrow but there is a strong chance of a 0.50 increase. Many people on the ground in NZ are expecting the later due to rampant inflation and house prices, but that "surprise" for the international ...

Hanover, thanks for putting all this time and effort into this indi. I think it is going to be extremely useful with the alerts you have now added. From one Kiwi to another... THANK YOU.

Sure here is one example I found. Candle 4 needs to break candle 3. image

Great effort with this indi Clemmo. Just a little tweak to ensure it follows the candle 4 break rule (as per babakk's post directly before this one) would see it following closer to the rules. Thanks for your hard work with this.

I may be wrong but my understanding is that your candle 1 requirement of it being a bull candle for a Long or a bear candle for a short is not correct. Candle 2 just must have that higher high or lower low to make candle 1 qualify. That is my ...

Hi Piaser. I may be able to help you but you need to tell me what you want. Your last backtest may have some promise but you need to test it with 99.9% quality tick data. Please post this last EA in mq4 format and tell me what you are looking for ...

Indeed lets see what happens - but I very much doubt that Trump will suck Israel dry. I believe he will be a lot more of a friend to Israel than Obama ever was. And if he is I will certainly respect him for it.

The Australian watchdog ASIC has just announced that they are investigating. Lets hope they use their teeth!

Thanks for the clear instructions Pip Guru. Do you still trade this strategy on days like Monday when London is on a bank holiday? If Daily and H4 are on a recent uptrend (as well as H1) do you still take the downbreak trade on the H1? Also, do you ...

Interesting thread. When I do a quick manual scan with EURUSD for the last 2 days of last week I can see two trades that would have needed stop losses of at least 35 and 40, as the 30min candles were around 23 and 27pip length (once closed). These ...

Commission accounts don't suit my trading strategy so I can't speak for the Pro accounts sorry. Think's standard accounts are around .5 pip worse than the Pro a/c, making them similar to what Go were offering (and are hopefully returning to) ie ...

I have found Think Forex to be good for scalping. They keep the spreads nice and tight for most of the day. The A/c Exec from this part of the world is also excellent to deal with. I have accounts with a number of brokers, but for me these guys are ...

It is fairly well known that Go were one of the very few brokers around who traders could "news trade" due to them honouring the price split seconds after a news announcement - even when the true market had gapped. How else can a broker consistently ...

Changing from Market Maker? — What I read between the lines with Chris's various posts over the last few weeks, and all that has been happening, is that Go are changing from being a Market Maker brokerage to more of an STP brokerage. If I am ...

Think Forex — Another broker well worth a look is Think Forex. They aren't an Aussie broker, but are based in NZ and offer AUD as a base currency (along with the other usuals). During London and NY they have spreads of 1.0 - 1.5 for EUR/USD, ...

Thanks CodeMeister. I think that second gap formula will work. It is my explaining that is the problem. If I add the gap formula code to your other code I think it will calculate the highest and lowest points from the start of the gap (and including ...

Sure, here's a picture. I want it to calculate the High and Low between the 2 arrows ie close of previous candle till close of current candle.
