yep, Alpari will do this as well as all other Metatrader bucketshops pretending to be ECNs and claiming to have no dealing desks. Don't believe the hype.....your loss=their gain so there is a massive conflict of interest

Please don't talk rubbish Alpari. Spreads on an institutional bank platform (such as Barc, UBS etc) are tight ALL DAY AND NIGHT. You can get EUR/USD FIXED spread at 0.8/1pip on institutional platforms 24/7, so stop lying. Obviously you are trying to ...

of course they freeze it cos they have a manual dealer on the desk that cannot possibly cope with the price movement and trading at the same time. if they are TRUE ECN's with STP, which ALPARI are NOT, then you would be able to trade fairly easily ...

this is a common fault on Alpari Uk and US. They cannot handle large price movements and their whole system freezes or stops, even on live accounts.Nightmare if you have to trade out of a position.

If a UK listed company, then you can download their annual company report and balance sheet for £1 from companies house url and find out some pretty nice info........
