It does not do anyone any good to make an EA available if by doing so will limit its effectiveness.
- How many EA licenses can be sold before slippage is introduced
Good day all! I have developed an EA that does very well as a scalper. I know that if I choose to ...

Hi ForexVerified - I sent an email to you awhile back as I am no longer offering my EA's for sale. That particular one does very well, but it does use a Martingale approach and it can run for long periods of profitability, but it can have successive ...

Thanks GoForPip. Throw me a PM and we can talk. What VPS are you using with IC Markets? FXCM does not work for this EA from my home PC, I would like to see if I can get similar results like you are experiencing.

I think it's great GoForPip. My results on FXCM are terrible. Had about a 64% win rate with PF of .5. I think VPS, low spread, low commissions is definitely a MAJOR factor.

Thank you for the image. It is not connected to the AutoChannelTS as that is only for trailing stop and is not triggered until the price crosses the settings in AutoChannelMult variable. I have seen this on a couple occasions. It always occurs ...

Thank you for the post. We can add that to the bug fixes. Is the order still open in profit? or Negative? What was not modified? the TP/SL? I have had that occur if I have ecnBroker = TRUE on a non ECN broker. Or if I had it to FALSE on an ECN ...

Hi GoForPip - When I started live demo testing on a ECN account with small spread (.1-.5 pips), I also saw that error with the SL being set outside the channel causing either two trades to be opened, or worse, not allowing the next trade in sequence ...

Looks good. My backtest was on EURUSD 1m. with a test spread of .2 pips. I tested up to .6 with similar results. After that is failed. I tested on FXCM that has similar spreads and the results were terrible. After seeing yours, I am trying on ...

Hi mdrasel, could you tell me what the message is?
- ibthescottyb replied May 18, 2015
Mr. Ma - Welcome. Are you testing the EA "as-is" or do you think there is a better time and place to use it? I am playing with some manual entries to see how it does since I am not 100% convinced that an automated version works consistently.

the EA should work on any demo account. Only if it is placed on a real account should "The EA is not on an authorized account" appear. Or, wait until the market opens and the EA will connect with the broker for a clean initialization. It could also ...

Unfortunately, I am not a programmer. I designed this EA but paid someone to code it for me. This is the reason I am hopeful our fellow traders can find a set file that works with it. I would recommend using the EA in manual mode on the chart ...

It could also be possible that the MT4 platform you are running the strategy tester on is on a live account. The EA will see that and not run the test.

Thanks Profitkeeper! Even though I was disappointed the results were skewed, I learned something that I didn't know before which changes my perspective on back testing. So, that has value and I thank you! I look forward to seeing your results. It's ...

Hi JB, Thanks for stopping by. The back test is indeed optimistic. I just don't know how realistic it is although initial forward tests are positive. Or maybe just lucky. I am hopeful a set file can be created with the variables at hand to make it ...

The best results that I have had with it have been using the manual strategy right before the New York open.

Hi Bazze, Thanks for stopping by! The back test is what became the problem. On a 1m time frame it did awesome like you see. But, it was tested at 2 points spread when I thought I was testing at 2 pips spread. Seeing results like that you can imagine ...

Appreciate the input. I started with manual breakout trading and enjoyed it. The problem is I could not be awake or in front of my platform 24/5. So I started looking for ways to automate it. That is where I an now. Looking for some way to automate ...
