Switching to longer term not scalping anymore... my trade setups take a lot of analyzing and smaller time frame is too intensive brain work. best of luck!

Honestly, I have a whole mish mash of entry setups. I use combinations of price congestion, price extremes, and gaps. I'm not using anything that I learned from a book, but stuff I learned from looking at charts. Here's a trade I did yesterday. ...

Hey Cap, I don't want to be down on you, but by the look of the trade explorer, you are losing... whats wrong? Too many losers? TO big of of losers? Commissions?

Scalped a few more times long EURUSD before it started crappin itself... Believe it or not, but I got about 12 pips on the long side of that move down. Thats it for me, have to sleep... Did 40 rt's, 65.1 pips minus commissions. Net about 41 pips. ...

Well, i'm positive on USDJPY, but what a waste of time, didn't even recover commissions. Granted I had quite a few misclicks today and bad technical handling of the software. Still getting used to it. I must have entered at least 5 trades today that ...

I just reread what I posted about the market makers, and it sounds way to complicated, so I will simplify it. The market makers are taking the opposite trade as us. They are gaining the spread, we are losing. As the market moves around, they adjust ...

A little about how I do and don't trade. First the don'ts: Fibonnacci: Sometimes it hits the line, sometimes it goes through it, sometimes it goes back and forth around it, so not too helpful. Perhaps for exits, not entries. Trendlines: I can see ...

Actually on that USDJPY, I just tightened my stop as it was rising and got stopped out, I didn't particularly love the trade after sitting through the choppiness.

this is how that turned out..... image Yes your levels were hit, all cleared.... but entry is vague, stop if any is vague. I see some value though. I will investigate further. With a good entry, those take profit areas were pretty good, like on ...

There is no real gap in price, its just a perceived gap due to software/feed bugs. It often happens when I switch between instruments, then all of a sudden i see gaps... then eventually, if i keep switching instruments, or i log out or something, ...

Check your preferences, stops can execute as trade thru, or normal. This could be the issue if you are getting stopped out by the ask, but it won't show a print on the chart cuz the chart only prints the bid. Good luck, imo they are honest.

No they aren't. Buy at market, or limit above ask. Be prepared to pay if you want to catch something that is moving away from you.
- blueJ replied Apr 28, 2011
Nah, it happens with limit orders sometimes for me 2.

I agree, if you can't get what you need, time to move on, or change what you need to match what you can get. I had problems with executions when scalping, so I just decided that for now I'll stick to longer time frames. It's actually worked out well ...
