Thank you for inviting me to address this year's Australia-Canada Leadership Forum. It is a real pleasure for me to be here. The original plan for this session was to have Bank of Canada Governor, Steve Poloz, also speak. But the timing of the Bank of Canada's next regular monetary policy meeting has meant that this wasn't possible. Like us, the Bank of Canada has a blackout period around their policy meetings.
