Growth of China's Industrial production slowed further in the first two months of 2016 amid Beijing's effort to reduce excess production capacity in the sector. Value-added industrial output in China rose ​5.4​% in the January-February period from a year earlier, slowing from 5.9% growth in December, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed​ on Saturday​. Industrial production, a rough proxy for economic growth, undershot a median 5.6% growth forecast by 17 economists polled by The Wall Street Journal.
