French activity rises at slowest rate in three months during July

Activity growth in the French service sector eased to a three-month low in July, following the 46-month high registered in June. This reflected a weaker increase in incoming new business. Backlogs of work also rose at a slower pace, while employment decreased slightly. Prices charged continued to fall, despite a further increase in input costs. Business expectations meanwhile dipped to the lowest since December 2014.
