Britain's manufacturing sector grew at the fastest rate in eight months in March, bolstered by strong domestic demand and a pick-up in export orders, a survey showed on Wednesday. Financial data company Markit (NasdaqGS: MRKT - news) said its monthly manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose to 54.4 in March from 54.0 the month before, the highest level since July 2014 and just ahead of economists' consensus forecast for a rise to 54.3.
