British Treasury chief George Osborne might want to skip France for his vacation this summer. In his 2015 budget statement, delivered on Wednesday, the U.K.’s Chancellor of the Exchequer managed to squeeze in several barbs against the French, mocking the country’s economy and reviving memories of a historic Gallic military defeat at the hands of Les Anglais.
