Thursday’s a busy day for economic reports on both side of the Atlantic, including the monthly update on unemployment in Germany. Meanwhile, the European Commission publishes new figures on consumer and business sentiment in the Eurozone. Later, the release of the US Pending Home Sales Index will be closely read for guidance on the outlook for the housing sector. Germany: Unemployment (08:55 GMT) The Economy Ministry is expecting that growth will pick up a bit for Europe’s biggest economy: 1.5% for the year ahead, or slightly better than the previous forecast (published last October) of 1.3%.
