Job advertisements rose for a seventh straight month in December, but are not translating into lower unemployment as job losses also remain high. The widely watched ANZ job ads report has recorded its seventh consecutive monthly gain, jumping 1.8 per cent in December. The number of job ads on the internet and in newspapers is now 11.4 per cent higher than they were a year earlier.
